Dhaka, Dec 15 (bdnews24.com) – Naimur Rahman Durjoy has resigned from the BCB selection committee Tuesday.

Durjoy, one of just three members of the selection panel, said he took the decision following disagreement with the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

The former captain said he has informed the cricket board CEO Nizamuddin Sujon and the head of cricket operations Enayet Hossain Siraj verbally.

Durjoy told bdnews24.com, "Our agreements have not been renewed. As it has not been renewed on expiry it does not require formal resignation.

However, Siraj told bdnews24.com, "I talked to Durjoy about the issue. But he did not resign formally. So I can't make any decision."

While asked if a resignation letter is important he said, "We've decided to keep them in the committee for the second term until June 2010.

The two-year agreement ended on August 31.

Chief selector Rafiqul Alam said, "I know this and I'm little frustrated too. But he was not supposed to resign."
