Habiganj, Mar 11 (BDNEWS) – Two persons were killed in two different incidents in Habiganj Saturday.

Witnesses said one Jarina Begum (45) was killed in a road accident when a Dhaka-bound bus of Mitali Paribahan ran over her as she was crossing the Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Aushkandi under Nabiganj upazila Saturday.

The bus fell into a ditch beside the road after crashing Jarina under its wheels and left 30 passengers injured.

In another incident in the tea garden--'Chanpur Tea Estate' under Chunarughat upazila, Afzal Mia (17) from Inatabad village died while cutting a tree as the cut tree fell upon him.

Two other persons involved in that cutting process received severe injury.
